So I get asked a LOT about how I manage to keep my house clean all the time, and I can tell you in allll the confidence that it is really very easy to maintain. I get it! Being a mom is hands down the hardest job you will ever have, and you’re constantly being pulled in a thousand directions trying to keep your kiddos alive (some days that’s legit how I feel – just trying to keep them alive at that point).
With a quick daily checklist, you can have your entire house clean and tidy within 30 minutes. Ready? Let’s Gooo!
Start with Daily Cleaning Habits:

Kitchen:
Bathroom:
Living/Family Room:

Add Weekly Cleaning Habits
The weekly tasks are more of the “deep clean” jobs, but when done more frequently they’ll never end up being a big or time consuming task as when you only clean them every 6 months or so.
The more your family is involved in these daily and weekly jobs, the easier it is to stick with them. If you have a hard time continuing with a schedule or a routine, try rewarding yourself! Watch your favorite show after you’ve gotten everything done. Turn the show on, but press PAUSE, and don’t let yourself start it until the cleaning is done.
Get your kids involved! They live in the house too, and make most of the messes (let’s be honest here). Once they have to take some responsibility for the messes they make, it’s amazing how quickly the don’t make them knowing they have to clean it up. Not saying that from experience or anything….
Using Thieves Household Cleaner for all.the.cleaning is another reason why I’ve been able to keep up with all of the daily and weekly cleaning. I have ONE bottle for the entire house. No lugging around a caddy of products (which are filled with harsh ingredients that are known to be harmful to our bodies) to each room. Just one bottle to safely and effectively clean every surface – even mirrors and windows! I always add a couple drops of either lemon or Thieves essential oil to the cleaner just to give it an extra boost of freshness, especially when I’m mopping the floors (some times I do basil when mopping). I even let the girls help me use the cleaner because I know that the plant based ingredients are safe for them to be around.
I’ve created a daily checklist that you can print out, hang in the most convenient of places, and STICK WITH IT. I’ve added a Kid’s Daily Checklist because it is never too early to involve them in helping around the house. Creating some responsibility can be so rewarding for your kiddos, and they’ll be eager to help you knowing that it makes you happy and your day-to-day a little easier.
